SPECIES: PEAR
Characteristics
Origin
GreeceTree
Upright branching behavior and high vigor. It is common that spikes grow on young branches, thus making spacing and later harvesting a little difficult. Depending on the hybrid used, the branches become red on Contoula 7/9 and grey-green on traditional CFruit
Contoula 1/6 has straight peduncle and pear-like shape, whereas Contoula 7/9 has curved peduncle. Both hybrids have exceptional taste. When ripe, the skin becomes yellow and the flesh becomes crispy white.Maturation
